A Touch Mark or Maker's Mark is a stamp used by blacksmiths, knife makers and firearms companies to identify their work. These are larger in size ranging from 1/4” - 3/8" and larger and meant to be used on steel alloys.
Hallmarks are what jewelers use on their creations to identify themselves as the artist. These are smaller in size ranging from 3/8" all the way down to 2 millimeters. Hallmarks are meant to be used on nonferrous materials such as gold, silver, copper, brass.
I am currently focusing on Hallmarks to be used for jewelry, but will happily provide a custom quote for a Maker's Mark.
Hallmark base pricing starts at $95.00. We charge $12.50 per letter and will provide a custom quote based on the complexity of any additional logos or artwork.
There is a non-refundable $60.00 design fee that will be credited to overall cost of the Hallmark once it is ordered. Because each is custom made by hand, payment in full is required prior to a Hallmark being engraved.
